Translation:
Elisabeth Lindemuth was born in Virginia, Shenandoah County, the 6th of April 1816. Her parents are Andreas Lindemuth and his wife Rosina. Her sponsor is Elisabeth Dellinger. She was baptized by Mister Johan Nicolaus Schmucker.
No name is as beautiful as the name of my Jesus, because in German it means as much as to make blessed. It is also this child who is the seed of the servant’s wife who alone shows us the path to becoming blessed. The name I want to bury deep in my heart and have it in my mouth in the final hour.
