Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur, with one word each in Roman and German script, is within a rectangular frame in the center of the document. The space surrounding this frame is divided into eight square and rectangular areas that contain a variety of images. In each corner is a flowerpot with leafy branches and two birds. In the upper and lower center are compass-drawn rosettes or stars, and on the sides are fish. This fraktur is one of three known by this artist; all are birth records. The lack of baptismal information may indicate that they were made for Mennonite families.
