In the center of the fraktur are two thorny stems with leaves and five roses, ranging from bud to full bloom. The drawing is enclosed by a decorative frame which includes a thick border along the bottom edge. Drawings of roses were popular among Schwenkfelder artists in Montgomery County during the early-to-mid 19th century.
