Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur is in the center of the document, topped by an arch. Flanking the arch are two striped circles on pedestals. Next to them are leafy stems of flowers. In the upper center is another circle. Below the text are two circles on columns. Between them is a line that serves as a short border, as well as a leafy flower. The entire item is enclosed by a decorative border. This bookplate has been removed from the book for which it was made.
Samuel Bentz was formerly known as the Mount Pleasant Artist.
