Im Himmel \ Im Himmel sind der Freuden so viel dort sitzen die Engel und haben \ ihr Spiel Sie Singen und Spielen und loben Gott der Himmel und \ Erden geschaffen hat, dort droben für der heiligen Thür, dort sitzen \ die armen gantz traurig dafür, warum traurest warum weinest du \ Traurige Seel, warum solt ich nicht weinen mein gütiger Gott, hast du es übertreten \ die Jesu Gebott, so werden dir alle deine Kleiderlein Roth \ 1820

Translation:

In heaven
In heaven are the joys plentiful. The angels sit there and have their play. They sing and play and praise God who made heaven and earth. Up there before the holy door, there are sitting the poor completely sad before it. Why are you lamenting, why are you crying, poor soul [?] Why should I not cry, my good God [?] If you have transgressed Jesus’ commandments, all your clothing will become red. 1820.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text, with the first two lines in Fraktur and the remainder in German script, extends across the entire document. The first line is written in particularly prominent and decorative letters. Above it are several stems of flowers. A border encloses the document along the top and sides.  Possibly Schwenkfelder in origin.
