Translation:

[In heart in center]
Flee from sin, love virtue, make the beginning in youth. Go on and don’t give up until you go into your grave. [Written in] the year 1833.

Jesus, adorn my heart so that it will feel your gifts.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-written. The text in Fraktur is within three hearts along the bottom of the document. The center heart, which is the largest, is topped by several stems of flowers. It is flanked by two arches that are decorated with diamond patterns and stylized flowers. Within them are the two smaller hearts that are topped by one flower with a variety of leaves including two that are shaped like birds. The entire item is framed by a decorative border.
