Elisabeth Kauffman was born the 10th of April in the year 1816 and was baptized the 27th of June 1824 by Mister Tups. The sponsors were Johan Adam Weidenhammer and his wife Elisabeth. In Maidencreek Township, in Berks County, 1825.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur within a rectangular frame is in the lower portion of the document. It is surrounded in the corners by four star-like flowers. In the upper portion of the item is an American eagle whose body is in the shape of a seal and who is clutching a bunch of arrows. It is within an arched frame and flanked by several stems of flowers. The entire document is framed by a border that is decorated by a variety of flowers.
