Dieser Sohn ist ge= \ bohren in Tinicum Taunschip, Bucks \ Caunty: im Staate Pennsylvania \ in Nord=America; und ist getauft \ worden und erhielt den Namen \ Elias, den 5ten Tag Aprill, im \ Jahr unsers Herrn 1829 von \ Hrn Stähr, Die Taufzeugen \ waren, Henrich Strauß und \ dessen Ehefrau Maria Magda= \ lena, die groß=Eltern:

Translation:

To these two married people namely Jacob Strauss and his lawful wife Catharina, born Herweckin, a son was born into the world, on the 29th day of August in the year of our Lord 1828. This son was born in Tinicum Township, Bucks County, in the state of Pennsylvania in North America, and was baptized and received the name Elias, on the 5th day of April in the year of our Lord 1829, from Mr. Stähr. The sponsors were Henrich Strauss and his wife Maria Magdalena, the grandparents.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur within a rectangular frame is in the center of the document. It is flanked by two inward-facing angels who are holding flowers. In the upper center is another angel with flowers and a trumpet. Below the text is a leafy flower with two birds as well as a star. The entire item is framed by a thin border.

The anonymous Ebner Print Copy Artist produced hand-drawn certificates copied from printed ones made by Henrich Ebner of Allentown, PA.
