1) My love she was born in the north Country wide \ Or hills and lofty mountain around on evry side. \ She is the fairest creature that ere my eyes did see \ Exceed all the maids in the north country.
2) My parents they did banish my love so far from her \ Which causeth me to sygh and the shed a many a tear \ A sleeping i do morn and awakening I do cry. \ And its all for the sake of my darling I die
3) Go saddle me a horseand i will go and ride. \ Ore hills and lofty mountain ill rent and il rove \ Until I find a girl that I constantly love
4) My hand it is scarce able a pen for to hold \ To write my love a letter and seal it up with \ gold \ Her teeth as white as ivory her eyes as black as col \ She has wounded my poor heart were ever i go.
5) If i had all the money that miser has in store \ If i had all the money that lies on turkeys shore \ If i had all the money that ere my eyes did see \ I would part with it all for my loves company.
