Ihr Kinder seyd \ gehorsam euren Eltern in dem Herrn denn das ist billig. Ehre \ Vatter und Mutter, das ist das erste Gebott, das Verpflichtung hat. Auf daß dirs wohl gehe, und \ du lang lebest auf Erden. Und ihr Vätter reitzet eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern ziehet sie auf in der \ Zucht und Vermahnung zum Herrn. Ihr Knechte seyd gehorsam eurem leiblichen Herrn, mit Furcht und \ Zittern in Einfältigkeit eures Hertzens, als Christo. Nicht mit Dienst allein vor Augen, als den Menschen \ zu gefallen sondern als die Knechte Christi, daß ihr solche willen Gottes thut von Hertzen mit gutem Willen. \ Lasset euch duncken, daß ihr dem Herrn dienet, und nicht den Menschen. You children, be obedient to your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honor father and mother, this is the first commandment that is required. So that you may fare well and live long on earth. And you fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but raise them in obedience and admonition to the Lord. You servants, be obedient to your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ. Not with only service before your eyes, to please people, but as the servants of Christ, that you may do the will of God with your heart and good will. And know that you serve the Lord and not people. Written in Ephesians, chapter 6.
