Translation:
To these two married people namely Abraham Schwartz and his lawful wife Susana, a born Stutzmanin, a son was born into the world, named Abraham Schwartz, in the year of our Lord 1807, on the 2nd day of March, at 6 o’clock in the evening, in the sign of Sagittarius. Baptized by Pastor Hendel on the 1st day of June 1807. Sponsors were Peter Stutzman and his woman Elisabeth. Born in Lower Mahantango Township, Berks County, and in America in the state of Pennsylvania.
Quite differently my name must sound to God, who knows only his own. He has enveloped me in baptism, quite fatherly called me his child. In his hand he writes my name. There is nothing that can erase me.
Johan Valentin Schuller in Northumberland County.
