Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Roman print within a rectangular frame is in the upper center of the document. In the upper center are several flowers that are decorated with gilt. In the lower portion of the document is a leafy rose stem with three flowers and several buds. The entire document is framed by a decorative border.  Genealogical research suggests Mehitable Thomas was born to George Thomas and Lydia Brown of Gorham, Cumberland County, Maine.  See also FLP 1094 for a related example.
