This 1990 photograph was taken by Philadelphia Inquirer photographer William F. Steinmetz. The text accompanying the photo read:
"When you have a lot of humidity, go to the Logan Circle at 19th and the Ben Franklin Pkwy as did l to r, Kate Lawhorne, 18 and Baxter Shank 19. The two go to Moore College of Art."
The fountain pictured here is the Swann Memorial Fountain (1934). The sculpture, by Alexander Stirling Calder, is one of three figures in the fountain; this one symbolizes the Delaware River (the other two are the Schuylkill River and Wissahickon Creek).
