O, blessed is the soul that has reconciliation as its favor through Christ’s blood, for its sin and failings. And when God offers it his security there is no measuring how much its comfort increases.

The true guarantee and seal is in the baptism that, like a mirror, uncovers for us the work of grace. The body becomes pure and bright, where fresh water flows; the soul’s spring of life is Christ’s blood and spirit.

O friend of men’s souls, who took me on faithfully in the holy baptism in order to be married to me, how can I thank you for it? I beg from the bottom of my heart, never let me waver from your covenant of grace.

Since Jesus has accepted those who he calls his children, only those can come to him who prove themselves to be children, those who prove with works that they are his disciple and always display willingness and faith.
