Wende mein Hertz zu der barmhertzigkeit, und laß meine \ Hände freygebig sein, Daß ich der verlassenen mich annehme, den \ Irrenden rathe, die unwissenden lehre, Für die unmündigen rede, \ Den armen helfe, die schwachen stärcke, Die verschmachten labe, den \ Fallenden aufhelfe, Die untertruckten hebe, die nothdürftigen fördere, \ Die betrübten tröste, und allen mit Einander was gutes erweise. 1787. \ February den 27 sten.
Translation:
Turn my heart to mercy and let my hands be generous, that I may take care of the deserted, advice the mistaken, teach the ignorant, speak for the minors, help the poor, strengthen the weak, refresh the faint, help up the fallen, lift up the oppressed, support the needy, comfort the sad and altogether show some good. 1787, February the 27th.
