Abraham Meter, ein Sohn \ von Johannes Meter und dessen Ehefrau Chri= \ stina eine geborne Blumin ist geboren den 15^ten Tag \ August im Jahre Christi 1779 in Loer Paxen Taun= \ schip Dauphin Caunty im Staate Pennsylvanien und \ getauft im Jahre 1803 vom Pfarrer Herrn \ Helfenstein, welcher ihn auch \ confirmiret hat. Verehe= \ lichte sich zum 2^ten Mal \ den 7^ten April \ 1823

Abraham Meter, a son of Johannes Meter and his wife Christina, a born Blumin, was born on the 15th day of August in the year of Christ 1779 in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, state of Pennsylvania, and baptized in the year 1803 from Pastor Mister Helfenstein, who also confirmed him. Married for a second time on the 7th of April 1823.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The main text in Fraktur is within a heart in the center of the document. A verse in Fraktur within a smaller heart is above it. Along the upper edge is the title in Fraktur. In the upper corners are stars. Below them are two birds perched on tulips and two flowers. In the lower center are two birds perched on flowers.
