Jacob Benner was born in the state of Pennsylvania, Bucks County, Rockhill Township, in the year of our Lord 1805, on the 28th of February, at [blank] o’clock [blank], in the sign of [blank]. His father was Johannes Benner, the mother Elisabeth, born Ziegenfusin. This J. B. was baptized according to Christ’s command, Matthew 28:19, by Mr. Röller. Sponsors were Johan Jacob Luez and his wife Maria. Is attached to the Evangelical [blank] religion. Confirmed by Mr. [blank].

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur, German script, and Roman script is in the lower center of the document. It is flanked by two columns and topped by an arch. A pot with flowers is in the upper center. The columns are wrapped by leafy vines and topped by ornaments.
