Christlicher Tauffswunsch \ Wasch es Jesu durch dein Blut \ von den angeerbten Flecken, laß \ es bald nach dieser Flut deinen purpur \ Mandel decken, Schenck ihm deiner un= \ schuld Seite daß es sich in dich verkleide. \ dieses wünscht von hertzen dein \ getreue Göttel Anna Barabra Seitzin \ Wart gebohren d. 3 tag Herbstmonat, und \ den 4ten darauf getauft, \ in der Evangelischen Kirche in \ Obermothern \ Anno 1812.


Translation:

Christian Baptismal Wish. Wash it, Jesus, with your blood, of the inherited stains. Let is soon after this flood be covered in your crimson coat. Grant it your innocence’s side that it may dress itself in you. This wishes from the heart your faithful godmother Anna Barbara Seitzin. Was born on the 3rd day of September, and baptized on the 4th, in the Evangelical church in Obermothern, anno 1812.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script is in the center of the document. It is flanked by two vases with tall flowers. In the upper center is a winged angel head with long hair and a hat. The entire document is framed by a decorative border.
