Notes:

Hand-colored; hand-lettered, printed. The main text in Fraktur and Roman print is in the center of the document. Beneath it on the left is the seal of the United States with various agricultural tools. To the right is a seal with the letters L. S. (Locus Sigilli, place of the seal) and various barrels, boxes, scrolls and bushels of grain. The text and seals are framed by two columns on the sides and a garland on top. The garland is held by two angels with trumpets. In the lower corners are two pedestals with urns. From them protrude fire and billowing smoke. Below the text is Jesus preaching to his disciples, who are sitting at his feet. Above the text is John the Baptist administering the baptism to Jesus. Both are in the water. Above Jesus’ head is a dove with a ray of light ascending toward heaven. See FLP 1230 for another version of this form.
