Translation:
Johannes Kerstetter was born to Christian parents on the 1st day of October in the year of Christ 1801 in Mahantango Township, Northumberland County, in the province of Pennsylvania in North America, and was baptized by H. D. Herbst. The sponsors were Johannes Rein, single back then. The parents are the honorable Johannes Kerstetter and his honorable wife named Anna, a born Kohlmann. See, I stand before the door and knock so that somebody will hear my voice and open the door, through which I will enter and take the Lord’s Supper with him.
