Notes:

The Pennsylvania Railroad's expanded Broad Street Station included this huge glass-covered train shed, the largest structure of its kind in the world at the time.  A fire in 1923 almost entirely destroyed the shed.  In this image, railroad workmen appear to be involved in the cleanup, with brooms and a handcart.  The surviving portion of the shed, seen in this image, was taken down shortly after the photograph was taken.  The station continued to operate until 1957.
