Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script within a rectangular frame is in the lower center of the document. In the upper sides and top are tulips. In each of the lower corners within square frames is a bird. The entire document is framed by a decorative border.

Formerly known as the BM Artist, Bernhard Misson made fraktur in Bucks County from c. 1808-1825.  On this certificate, the infilled text in German script appears to be by another hand, though the Fraktur lettering is comparable to other works by Misson.

In the collection of Franklin & Marshall College is a printed Taufschein made for a sibling of Johannes Fluck.  See Amsler, p. 183.
