Baptismal and Birth Certificate.
To these two married people [word blocked out] Krauss and his lawful wife Elisabeth, a born Krauss, a daughter was born into the world on the 25th of April in the year of our Lord Jesus 1793, and was baptized on the 2nd Sunday in May by the honorable Mister G. Räller, preacher and servant of God’s word according to Christ, Mathew 28:19, when the name Elisabeth was given to her. The sponsors were the parents themselves. This daughter was born and baptized in [blank] Township, Montgomery County, in North America. Elisabeth Kraussin was married to the honorable and virtuous Abraham Groff in the year 1816, the 27nd of October, by the honorable elder Georg Räller.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-centered. The main text in Fraktur is within a frame that is topped by two arches. From its top protrude two tulips and four star-shaped flowers. On each side are an undulating tulip and a bird. In the lower corners are stars, and in the lower center are two birds with flowers. Additional text in Fraktur within a heart is in the upper center of the document.
