Johannes Dunkel was born into this world the 7th day July in the year of our Lord Jesus 1798 and then immediately afterwards baptized by pastor Hertzel. Present were the sponsors Johannes Bieber and his wife Elisabetha. The dear parents are named, the father Peter Dunkel and the mother Elisabetha, a born Bieberin, back then residing in Greenwich Township in Berks County and the state of Pennsylvania. Above mentioned Johannes was also confirmed in the Evangelical religion by pastor [blank].
