Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. Depicted are portions of the “Parable of the Prodigal Son,” as narrated in Luke 15:11-32. The text is based on Luke 15:18. The item is divided into two sections. The upper image depicts the prodigal son, barefoot and with a whip, tending six pigs. The verse is underneath. The image below depicts the prodigal son, on his knees and hand raised in prayer, before his well-dressed father, who is reaching out to him. Next to the father is a servant, holding a pair of shoes, a ring, and a fancy coat. On the right, a house is partially visible. A flower and an ornament are above the people, and the verse is below. The artist is copying a fraktur by Friedrich Krebs (FLP30). Part of a pair with FLP 32.
