Birth and Baptismal Certificate
To these two married people namely Johannes Trager and his lawful wife Elisabeth, a born Kleinin, was born a son, named Jacob. He was born on the 9th day of September 1827 in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, in the state of Pennsylvania. The father was Johannes Trager, the mother was Elisabeth, a born Kleinin. This son Jacob was baptized on the [blank] day [blank] in the year 1827 from Mister Samuel Stähr, evangelical preacher. Sponsors were Christofel Trauger and his lawful wife Magdelena.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script is within a rectangular frame in the center of the document. In top center is the title within a heart. Stemmed tulips, other flowers, rosettes and two stars, as well as several birds, including two parrots, surround the frame.
