Diesen \ Beiden Ehegatten Als Jacob Lindaman J. und seine \ Ehefrau Elisabeth eine Geborne Neihardt ist ein Tochter zur \ welt geboren im Jahr unsers Herrn: 1816: den 12ten January in Aellen \ Taunschip Northampton Caunty Staat Penselvanien: und Erhielt durch \ die Heilige Tauf den Namen Elisabeth, die Taufzeigen waren \ Conrad Kreider Sen. und seine Ehefrau Elisabeth. Getauft von Herrn C. J. Becker \ den 19ten Tag. May 1816


Translation:

To these two married people, namely Jacob Lindaman, jun., and his lawful wife Elisabeth, a born Neihardt, a daughter was born into the world in the year of our lord 1816, on the 12th of January, in Allen Township, Northampton County, state of Pennsylvania, and she received through Holy Baptism the name Elisabeth. The sponsors were Conrad Kreider, sen., and his lawful wife Elisabeth. Baptized by Mr. C. J. Becker, the 19th day of May 1816.

Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. Text in Fraktur and German script covers the lower portion of the item. Above it is an arched border topped on each side by a vase with flowers and a tulip. A large eagle or bird on a branch is in the top center. A leafy vine and two stars are above it. The certificate is surrounded by a decorated border.
Several numbers are penciled on the bottom.
