Salemy was born to Christian Lutheran parents, in the year of our Lord 1804, on the 5th of October, in Albany Township, in Berks County, in the state of Pennsylvania, and has received the Holy Baptism from Pastor Daniel Leeman, on the 4th of November, 1804. Sponsors were the honorable Maria Brobstin, widow, Georg Brobst’s surviving lawful wife; she has given her the name as announced above. The parents are the honorable father Jacob Fedterolff, the mother Catarina, a born Derrin.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur is within a large heart in the center. It is flanked by two flowering vines. An angel with a trumpet is standing on the vine on each upper side, flanking a twelve-pointed star.
