Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur is in the center of the document, flanked by two female figures standing on blue clouds, one holding a basket and one with a purse. The women each hold a flowering vine, which supports a large parrot. At the top are various flowers, including tulips, as well as two birds eating grapes in the center. Two large rosettes are in the upper corners.
The verse is from a Lutheran baptismal hymn written in 1734 by Johann Jacob Rambach (1693-1735).
The place of creation and artist’s signature are added in English in Roman script at the bottom of the page.
