Translation:
To these two married people, namely Peter Nagel and his lawful wife Sussanna Nagel, a born Geiselmansin, a daughter was born into the world, named Elisabeth Nagel, was born into the world in the year of our Lord 1845, the 16th day of May, in the sign of Virgo. Because all people are conceived and born in sin, according to Christ’s teachings, all children shall be brought to Jesus, as the Evangelist Mark 10:15 explains, that, who does not receive the kingdom of God as a child shall not be able to enter, she was incorporated into the covenant of grace through the holy baptism, and on [blank] day [blank] was baptized and named as mentioned above by Mister Heilich, preacher. Sponsors are father and mother themselves. Above mentioned Elisabeth Nagel was born and baptized in America, in the state of Pennsylvania, in York County, in Paradise Township. Peter Marcle, his hand, 1850.
