Translation:

To these two married people, namely Peter Schweisforth and his lawful wife Maria, a born Bickhardin, a son was born into the world in the year of our Savior 1809 the 6 March at 12 o’clock noon, and received the name in the holy baptism Joseph from Mr. preacher L. F. Herrman. Sponsors were H. Städtler and his wife in the state of Pennsylvania, Montgomery County, Hanover Township.

[in framed boxes]
I am baptized, I stand united with my God through my baptism. I therefore always speak joyfully in hardship, sadness, fear and need. I am baptized, that’s a joy for me. The joy lasts eternally.

I am baptized, and when I die, how can the cool grave hurt me? I know my fatherland and legacy that I will have with God in Heaven. After death, Heaven’s garment of joy and celebration is prepared for me.

The little group of children will be buried in Jesus’ blood. How can the heart of the mother not rejoice in that.
