Catharina was born in the state of Pennsylvania in the County Berks in the Township Longswamp, in the year after Christ’s birth 1809, the 4th day January. Was soon after baptized by Mister Pastor Lehman. The parents are Simon Rohrbach and his wife Susanna. Sponsors were Willhelm Rohrbach and Maria Brensinger.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The main text in fraktur is within a large heart in the center of the document. It is flanked by two ornamental columns on pedestals, with a vase of flowers at the top. Across the bottom several trees grow from a brown layer of earth. The entire document is framed by a decorative striped border. The final word of the text, “ledig” (single), is unfinished and crossed out.
