Notes:

Hand-drawn; hand-colored. This reward features a leafy stem of flowers in the center. The item is framed by a decorative border. The owner’s name in German script is penciled on the reverse. Frederick S. Weiser noted that this piece was probably from Berks County. Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
