Title: The Edwin A. Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music: A Descriptive Catalogue
Additional Title: Page 967
The Fleisher Collection at the Free Library of Philadelphia was the first music copying project and was exceptional for its focus on copying unpublished pan-American orchestral scores. It was inundated with composers sending their scores for copying, which became a problem as more and more copyists left their relief jobs for wartime work. This special section starting on page 967 of the 1945 catalogue introduces the hundreds of scores that went uncopied at the suspension of the project.
