Hand-drawn; hand-colored. In the center of the reward is a bird on a tree-like plant with various flowers, including tulips, rosettes and stars. The item is enclosed in a decorative border.
Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
