Hand-drawn; hand-colored. In the center of this reward is a bird perched on a tulip. Two additional tulips are above the bird. The item is framed by a decorative striped border. The drawing was completed in a monochromatic brown ink. The date is penciled on the reverse.
Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
