Hand-drawn; hand-colored. In the center of the drawing is a leafy plant with a large eight-pointed star-like flower, berries, and other flowers. A bird is sitting on the stem. The entire item is framed by a decorative border.
Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
