Notes:
Hand-drawn; hand-colored. In the upper center of the drawing is a pair of inward-facing birds. Between them is a heart from which protrude leafy stems of star-shaped flowers. In the lower half is a heart, which is surrounded by leafy stems of star-shaped flowers. The entire item is framed by a decorative border.
Small drawings, often lacking inscriptions and referred to as bookmarks by collectors, were given by schoolmasters to their students as rewards for good behavior and scholastic accomplishments.
