Wir Kinder \ danken Gottes güt, daß Er noch \ Kirch und Schul behüt, und bitten Ihn \ daß Er’s erhalt, biß wir in gnaden werden alt. \ Allein auf Gott setz dein vertrau’n auf menschen \ hülf mußt du nicht bau’n Gott ist’s \ allein der glauben hält, du \ findest wenig in der welt.
Translation:
We children thank God’s goodness, that he still protects church and school, and beg him that he will preserve it until we will grow old in grace. In God alone place your trust; on human help you cannot built. God alone is who holds faith; you find little in the world.
