Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The main text in Fraktur is within a heart in the upper portion of the document, flanked by two birds. Above it are leafy stems of flowers. Beneath the heart is a pair of interlaced s-scrolls, surrounded by various plants, including flowers and grasses. Based on the lack of baptismal information and the surnames on the document, this certificate may have been prepared for a Mennonite child.
