Anno 1737 den 16^ten April bin ich Jacob Kolb auf diese \ Jammer=volle Welt Geboren Worden, Nachmittags Ohngefehr um 3 Uhr

Anno 1776 den 23^ten Julius ist mein Vatter Isaac Kolb durch den Zeit \ lichen Tod in die Ewigkeit Uebergegangen. \ Und den [blank] ten [blank] 17 [blank] ist meine Mutter Gertraut aus dieser welt geschieden.

Anno 1760 den 22^ten May hab ich Jacob Kolb mich in den Heiligen \ Ehestand Gegegben, mit Elisabetha Fretzin, des Johannes Fretz, und sei \ ner frau Barbara Tochter, Welche auf diese Welt geboren den 19^ten \ Julius Anno Dominy 1739

In unserer Ehe hat uns der Herr gesegnet mit Nachfolgenden Kindern
1. Anno Dom 1762 den 3^ten Mertz Morgens um 6 Uhr ist unser Erster \ Sohn Namens Isaac auf diese welt Geboren worden.
2. Anno 1764 den 6^ten September Abends um 7 uhr ist unser Zweyter \ Sohn Namens Johannes auf diese welt geboren worden.
3. domini 1767 den 8^ten February Morgens um 8 uhr ist unsere Erste \ Tochter Namens Gertraut auf diese welt geboren worden.
4. Anno 1769 den 30^ten April abends um 8 uhr ist unser Dritter Sohn \ Namens Jacob auf diese welt geboren worden.
5. Domini 1771 den 19^ten April Nachts um 12 uhr ist unser Vierter \ Sohn mit Namen Abraham auf diese welt Geboren worden.
6. Anno 1773 den 23^ten Julius Morgens um 4 uhr ist unser Fünfter \ Sohn Namens Dielmann auf diese Welt geboren worden.
7. Anno Dom. 1776 den 28^ten January Nachmittag um 2 uhr ist unser \ 6ter Sohn Namens Henrich auf diese Welt Geboren worden.
8. Anno D: 1778 den 1^ten December Morgens um 4 uhr ist unsere \ Zweyte Tochter, mit Namen Elisabetha zur Welt geboren worden.
9. Anno 1781, den 4^ten May Vormittags um 10 Uhr ist unsere \ Dritte Tochter Namens Barbara auf die Welt Geboren worden. \ Ist Wieder Aus der Welt geschieden den 26^ten Juny 1782. Ist alt worden 1 Jahr, 1 Monat, 3 Wochen.

In the year 1737, the 16^th of April, I, Jacob Kolb, was born into this sorrowful world, in the afternoon at about 3 o’clock.

In the year 1776, the 23^rd of July, my father Isaac Kolb entered into eternity through his worldly death. And on the [blank] th [blank] 17 [blank] my mother Gertraut departed from this world.

In the year 1760, the 22^nd of May, I, Jacob Kolb, entered into the holy state of matrimony with Elisabetha Fretzin, daughter of Johannes Fretz and his wife Barbara, who was born into the world the 19^th of July in the year of the Lord 1739.

In our marriage the Lord blessed us with the following children
1. In the year of the Lord 1762, the 3^rd of March, 6 o’clock in the morning, our first son, named Isaac, was born into the world.
2. In the year 1764, the 6^th of September, at 7 o’clock in the evening, our second son, named Johannes, was born into the world.
3. of the Lord 1767, the 8^th of February, 8 o’clock in the morning, our first daughter, named Gertraut, was born into the world.
4. In the year 1769, the 30^th of April, at 8 o’clock in the evening, our third son, named Jacob, was born into the world.
5. of the Lord 1771, the 19^th of April, at 12 o’clock at night, our fourth son, named Abraham, was born into the world.
6. In the year 1773, the 23^rd of July, at 4 o’clock in the morning, our fifth son, named Dielmann, was born into the world.
7. In the year of our lord 1776, the 28^th of January, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, our 6^th son, named Henrich, was born into the world.
8. In the year of our Lord 1778, the 1^st of December, at 4 o’clock in the morning, our second daughter, with the name Elisabetha, was born into the world.
9. In the year 1781, the 4^th of May, at 10 o’clock in the morning, our third daughter named Barbara was born into the world. Departed again from the world on the 26^th of June 1782. Reached the age of 1 year, 1 month, 3 weeks.

The entire document is enclosed in a decorative border. Weiser notes that the poem at the bottom of the page, now illegible, laments the death of the daughter Barbara Kolb.
