Translation:

This bible belongs to Johannis and Anna Denlinger. January 27, anno domini 1849.

[vertical in center right]
What Adam spoiled, Christ has acquired. Whoever asks can have the heavenly gifts.

[in upper left]
Consider, my heart, what is your good, on which your trust rests. Which way do you hope that it will lead you to life?

[in upper right]
My best good shall be God alone, in Christ, my mediator. The way of life noone shows me except God’s word and God’s spirit.

[in lower left]
Love and practice hat Jesus teaches you and what he tells you, do the same. Hate and forsake what his word rejects. Then you will find peace and eternal rest.

[lower right]
Then blessed, therefore, are those who yield to Jesus and faithfully and holy live according to his word.
