Mein gott, ein reines herz doch lenke, zu \ danken dir ohn heucheley für dein \ gaben und geschenke Und väterliche \ Lieb und treu. Dein Vaterherz versorge \ fein die menschen, Vieh und Vögelein.
2 Mein gott, du hast uns lassen säen \ Den saamen in die erde dein; \ Durch deine gnade ists geschehen, \ Daß er also gewachsen sein. dein \ Vaterherz versorget fein Die \ menschen, Vieh und Vögelein.

Translation:

This hymnal belongs to me, Fronica Nislin.
My God, direct a pure heart to thank you without hypocrisy for your gifts and presents and fatherly love and faithfulness. Your father-heart cares well for people, cattle and little birds.

Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur and German script extends across the entire document. In the upper area are several flowers and calligraphic ornaments. The item is framed by a decorative sawtooth or triangular border. This bookplate is in Unpartheyisches Gesang=Buch (Lancaster, Pa.: Johann Bär, 1820).   (PA GER Lancaster 1820 Un5)
