Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur is in the upper center of the document. The name is written in particularly decorative letters. In the lower center is a basket with two flowers flanking a central pomegranate motif. This bookplate is in the hymnal Neueingerichtetes Gesang=Buch (Philadelphia, Pa.: Conrad Zentler, 1813).  (PA GER Philadelphia 1813 N39)

Attributed to the Schwenkfelder artist Rev. Daniel Kriebel, who lived on his parents' farm in Towamencein Township, Montgomery County, PA. Kriebel was a schoolmaster and minister.  A closely-related bookplate was made by him for Hanna Kriebel on January 22, 1815.  See Moyer, p. 125.
