This is a ca. 1931 image, taken by amateur Philadelphia photographer Claude Alexander, showing two men standing in front of the storefront of Lee Conshohocken Tires, on a snow-plowed city street.  The signage advertises Defiance Spark Plugs, Atlantic Motor Oil and Atlantic White Flash gasoline (introduced in 1931), C & D Batteries, and Lee Tires (with the slogan:  "Smiles at Miles").  For another view of this business, see item #pdcal00014.
