Title: Old Gas Station
Media Type:
Photographic Negatives
Source: Print and Picture Collection
Notes:
This is a ca. 1931 image, taken by amateur Philadelphia photographer Claude Alexander, showing a gas station, which sells five different brands of gasoline: Gulf, Texaco, Tydol Triple X, Atlantic White Flash, and Eveready. Since Atlantic White Flash gasoline wasn't introduced until 1931, that would be the earliest year this photograph was taken. Unfortunately, there is no location information available. For an additional view of this business, see items #pdcal00004 and #pdcal00007.
