Debbie Wasserman Schultz | For the Next Generation: A Wake-Up Call to Solving Our Nation's Problems
The youngest woman ever elected to the Florida State Legislature, Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has dedicated her public life to working on behalf of the people of southern Florida for two decades. She has commanded the respect of her colleagues and constituents through her hard work on many priority issues, including education, health care, and children’s safety. After she announced her own cancer battle, Rep. Wasserman Schultz introduced the Education and Awareness Requires Learning Young Act, which directs the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to develop a national education campaign about the risk factors for breast cancer. In her new book, Rep. Wasserman Schultz challenges her colleagues in Congress to approach policy from a parent’s perspective and resolve tough issues for future generations.
Introduced by Governor Ed Rendell
