Peter Beinart | The Crisis of Zionism
Journalist and political commentator Peter Beinart is former editor The New Republic and has been a columnist for and contributor to The Atlantic, The Daily Beast, National Journal, TIME, and the New York Times. A thoughtful supporter of liberal Zionism and an opponent of West Bank occupation, he is the author of the books The Good Fight and The Icarus Syndrome. He is a professor of journalism and political science at the City University of New York and a senior fellow at the New America Foundation. His latest book is an appeal to American Jews to confront the dangers facing Israeli democracy and renders a portrait of the leaders at the center of the conflict. Bill Clinton calls it a “deeply important book for anyone who cares about Israel.”
