Neal Pollack is the author of The Neal Pollack Anthology of American Literature, published by McSweeney’s, the rock-n-roll novel Nevermind the Pollacks, and editor of Chicago Noir, a collection of crime stories. He has contributed satire and journalism to many publications, including the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Details, and GQ.Alternadad (recently optioned by Warner Brothers Pictures), is Pollack’s take on the new generation of iPod-toting, coffee shop-frequenting, punk rock-listening alterna-parents, of which he is one.
