Malcolm Gladwell's bestseller The Tipping Point, introduced the thesis that ideas, products, and behaviors spread like viruses throughout culture, effecting paradigm shifts and mass behavioral change. His new book Blink, reveals how we can become better decision makers - in our offices, our homes, and in everyday life - by trusting our "rapid cognition," those instant understandings that happen in the blink of an eye. Gladwell was a reporter for the Washington Post from 1987 to 1996; since 1996, he has been a staff writer for The New Yorker.
